AAO Resident Case Displays
Held annually during the AAO Annual Meeting, the Case Display allows orthodontic residents the opportunity to display patient cases at the national level.
The experience and process of reviewing patient cases is recommended by the ABO as a critical thinking exercise to strengthen skills in preparation for the new Scenario-based Clinical Examination format, as part of the board-certification process.
In addition, an objective analysis of case management forms, DI, CREval, superimpositions and cephalometric tracings on your cases will allow the opportunity to become comfortable with the testing format, as well as offer an opportunity for self-evaluation and reflection on case outcomes.
The cases are judged for submission to the AJO-DO and must be written up to ABO standards.
Cases are judges by members of CDABO with oversight provided by ABO and are judged on:
• Uniqueness
• Treatment Quality
• Records Quality
• Manuscript
