A Current and Future Look at the American Board of Orthodontics DR. JOHN GRUBB Dr. Grubb discussed the makeup of the Board, its authority, goals and future plans. The goal of the ABO is "to establish and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence in orthodontics; " the grading process is to be consistent, fair, efficient, and empathetic," Options available for the Phase III portion, and the mentor program were all discussed. The mentor program is provided by members of the CADO. Dr. Grubbs' presentation was stimulating and thought provoking. A lively inter- change of ideas occurred with many present taking part.
